Civil Action 2168/2011 . On the 11th of March 2013 following a pettition by our firm the court decided to strike out the legal action of the plaintiff taken against our defendant client , accepting our argument that the Plaintiff was not the proper Plaintiff (had no locus standi to bring the action) . The plaintiff through her action required the cancelation of the transfer of property made by the deceased hasband of the defendand for a property above two million euros.
Civil Action 4240/2011. In this action our firm was involved on behalf of a minority shareholder a writ of summons against the major shareholder of an offshore company registered in Cyprus and operating through nominees and a succesfull application for interim order preveting the major shareholder to proceed with transfer of its shares to outsiders.
March 2011 : Our firm negotiated and concluded succesfully the purchase of 49% of the shares in the former Churchill Hotel on hebalf of the new investor.
February 2012 : Our Firm repsesented a Dubai based client in the negotiations of an earn out share purchase agreement of a business located in Dubai.
October 2012 : Our firm negotiated and concluded succesfully the sale of 49.000 of the shares in the Semeli Hotel on hebalf of the vendor .
Civil ACtion 3287 /2013. In this action our firm was invlolved and filed a writ of summons against fraudsters who hacked the emails of plaitiffs who are located and pursue business in USA and fraudulently induced the plaintiffs to transfer money in fraudsters's accounts in two Cyprus Banks. Our firm filed a succesfull application for freazing the money in the bank accounts and also succesfull applications in the form of Anton Piller requiring the Banks to surrender all documents in their possesion showing details about the frausters , their introducers, the movements in Bank accounts and a succesfull application in the form on Norwich Pharmacal requiring the Banks to provide all information relating to the suspicious transactions.
Judicial Review 551/2013 : In this action our firm filed the first judicial Review with number 551/2013 against Cyprus Bank for the Hair Cut of depositors money. This action was grouped by the Supreme Court together with a number of other actions which followed ours and they were all decided by the Supreme Court . The Supreme Court by majority dismissed all the actions as a group and now the hair cut disputed are continued at the District Courts.
